GENERAL

Q: What is the Mahjong School?
A: The School Games are games that will help you get acquainted and learn the basics or mahjong, learn the rules and scoring in brief, practice the game and improve your skills.

Q: How to play Mahjong School games?
A: First of all, you need to log into the game using your user name and password.
Then:

  1. Go to "Games" tab.
  2. Click on "Mahjong School" tab.
  3. Choose a game style and the level of difficulty.
  4. Click on the "Join" button and the game will start.

Q: How does the system work?
A: Mahjong School consists of a real player and 3 robots. It is available for the following mahjong versions: Hong Kong, Chinese Official, American Mahjong and Riichi Competition Rules. The Mahjong School is divided into 5 levels, starting from the easiest and advancing to more difficult and challenging games.
While playing, you will see hints that will guide you how to play.

Q: Is Mahjong School rated? Can Free Players increase their rating and ranking?
A: There is no Rating or Ranking involved when playing Mahjong School. Free Players can join rated Fun Games and gain rating but their rating will be reset to 0.1 at the end of the month if they do not become members of the site.

Q: What are School Games?
A: School Games are tables specially designed for new players to learn the game. School Games are designed for new players to learn the game.

Q: The tiles I got are the same as in the previous game, how come?
A: Each level of the Mahjong School is meant to put you in a situation when you can make one certain hand and thus having to make specific decisions for keeping of discarding tiles. You are given a certain combination (because in games with real opponents you have to make your decision at the very beginning for about 85% of the time) thus the game will teach you to analyze the tiles you have and plan what to discard and what to keep.

Q: How do I turn off the auto help from the Mahjong School Games?
A: Unfortunately, there is no possibility to turn it off since it is a tutorial and it helps beginners to learn the game faster and easier.

Q: Do Mahjong School require money to be played?
A: No, School Games are unlimited and are absolutely free to play.

Q: Are there any time restrictions for playing School Games?
A: There are no restrictions, Free Players, Cash Players and Member Players can enjoy School Games for an unlimited time.

Q: I would like to play for money. What should I do?
A: To play Cash Games you need to deposit money on your account. The minimum amount to be deposited is $5.
To deposit please follow the next steps:

  1. Go to "Cashier".
  2. Click on the "Deposit" menu.
  3. Then on the "Deposit" button.
  4. Choose the amount to be deposited.
  5. Follow the instructions.

Q: I am a Free Player, but I’d like to become a member. What should I do?
A: To become a member please follow the next steps:

  1. Click on the "Cashier" button.
  2. On the page that opens next, click on the "Buy Subscription" menu.
  3. Click on the “Buy Subscription” button.
  4. Follow the instructions.

Q: If I become a member, will I still be able to access School Games?
A: Yes, you will. All our members can access School Games and improve their skills.

Q: Does a Free Player have his/her own avatar? Is the Virtual Shop available to Free Players?
A: Yes, the Virtual Shop is available to All Players. You can purchase your own avatar with Golden Coins.

Q: Can I play a Mahjong School game with another player and 2 robots?
A: No, School Games are designed specifically to let beginners practice their skills any time of day without having to wait for anyone!

Q: I don’t know what hand to make in this School Game.
A: At the beginning of each School Game you can see a balloon tip in the lower right corner of the screen. Remember that hand and try to build it and win! If you were unsuccessful in the first try - you can try again any time you like!

Q: Are Free Players able to access Public/Private Chat and Live Help?
A: Yes, Free Players can communicate with all the players via Public or Private Chat. You are also welcome to contact Live Help to get answers to all your questions.

Q: Are Free Players able to play tournaments?
A: Yes, Free Players can register and play tournaments (except Free Roll) by paying the full registration fee for Tournaments. If a Free Player subscribes for a membership he will get a discount when registering for a tournament.

Q: I am a Free Player, am I able to watch other games being played?
A: Yes, Free Players can watch any game played on the site.

Q: Do I need Dragon Chips to play School Games?
A: School Games are free and do not require Dragon Chips to be played.
