We’ve been extremely pleased with members’ replies to our various blogs and we encourage everyone to voice their opinion.
Our blog entitled Profanity Filter and Auto-Ban at Mahjong Time got this unanimous response—members feel that we give offenders “too many chances”. Presently, those who violate our regulations regarding profanity are given eight chances to clean up their act. Those who responded all felt that three was plenty. We’re considering revamping the policy but would like more opinions. Follow this link to the blog to respond: http://mahjongtime.blogspot.com/2007/12/profanity-filter-and-auto-ban-at.html .
The blog called Auto-Pass—How’s it working? garnered a lot of feedback. There were 23 comments! We were wondering a few things about the auto-pass feature. Generally speaking, we wanted to know if players thought it could be improved upon and if they enjoyed the feature.
Many members did not like the fact that auto-pass reveals players’ hands. Many liked the fact that it sped up the game but there were complaints that it was triggered too quickly. And still others stated quite clearly that they “hated” auto-pass. Some simply don’t play games where auto-pass is used. One big concern was that it took the game out of players’ hands.
If you’d like to check out the auto-pass blog follow this link to access it: http://mahjongtime.blogspot.com/2007/12/auto-passhows-it-working.html .
Our blog called Voice Messages—Got an Idea? got eight comments. There were suggestions for messages such as “Good luck, everyone,” “Thanks for the game,” “Where are you from?,” and “Faster, please?”. Some members play with the sound off and aren’t interested in the feature and the suggestion was made that players have the option of choosing “sound” or “text”. As we develop this option, we’ll keep members’ suggestions in mind. The voice message blog can be accessed at: http://mahjongtime.blogspot.com/2007/12/voice-messagesgot-idea.html .
Thanks for all of your fine input. We’ll be posting many more blogs and will continue to monitor your comments.
Sincerely,
The MahjongTime.com Staff
